Jazz is a world of its own where there is far more to discover than in the purring of many a mediocre pop song. There are numerous young jazz musicians who have produced excellent CDs. The choice is not easy; and who likes to buy something they don't know? This is why, after 25 years as a music producer, I have decided to release a recommendation series with jazz performed by young musicians. The name of the series is: J a z z Y o u n g S p i r i t.
Since the 1980s I have worked with truly great jazz musicians such as Paquito D´Rivera, and we have just been nominated for a Grammy for our production "jaZZclaZZ" .
A gratifying success, which made me aware that it is now time to make way for young jazz musicians.
So, as a first introduction, on "Jazz Young Spirit" I am presenting ten young jazz musicians:
Esmeralda Spalding, Charly Sarduy, Harold Lopez Nussa, Rember Duharte, Ernesto Vega, Marialys Pacheco, Dayramir, Alejandro Vargas, Ariel Bringuez, Yasek Manzano.
Each of these outstanding musicians has the talent and willpower to become one of the greats on the jazz scene.
I hope that with Jazz Young Spirit I can make a small contribution towards their success.
